LA Galaxy: Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Sign With Manchester United

LA Galaxy rumored target and world class striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is reportedly set to sign with Manchester United after the European Championships.

It has been reported by ESPNFC that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is set to sign with Manchester United of the Barclays Premier League. He was rumored to be a potential target for the LA Galaxy. It would’ve been difficult for Los Angeles to sign the Swedish international because of financial reasons.

Ibrahimovic is coming off of a season with Paris Saint-Germain where he has been since 2012. He has been linked to multiple clubs such as Bayern Munich, AC Milan, and Malmo. But it seems as if Manchester Untied has won the race for the world class striker.

The deal with Man U has not been signed yet but it will be once Zlatan clears a physical with the team’s doctors and training staff. He is set to be one of the first signing by new manager, Jose Mourinho, who took over at Manchester United earlier this month. The two were paired together in 2009 when they won the Italian title with Inter.

It was unlikely that the LA Galaxy were going to be able to sign Ibrahimovic because they already have three designated player slots being used on their current  roster. He was linked to the team but financial reasons were the main reason he would not be signed but he club. The deal is set to be a substantial amount finically.

Zlatan has scored 113 goals in his 122 caps with PSG over the past four years. He is 34-years old but has still been able to produce in top form at the top-level of play. His deal with Man U may be a short term, so there may still be a chance for Ibrahimovic to sign with the Galaxy in a year or two.

Even though the La Galaxy never really had a chance at Zlatan, it was an interesting rumor that intrigued many. Ibrahimovic is one of the best strikers in the world and the though of him playing in Los Angeles was mesmerizing. It is not likely that the team will sign any big name players until one of their designated players leaves or retires.
