Daryoush Yazdani’s Los Angeles Blues were hoping to rebound from a couple of draws against the Rochester Rhinos and Dayton Dutch Lions by exacting payback against the Los Angeles Galaxy Reserves, a team that they lost to 4-3 at the StubHub Center’s Track and Field Stadium in Carson, Calif.
However, it all seemeed for naught midway through the match, as goalkeeper Mohammad Mohammedi botched a save in the 41st minute and allowed Charlie Rugg to give the hosts an early 1-0 lead.
In the 90th minute, thanks to some quick counterattacks and ball pressure, the Blues were finally able to break through thanks to super sub Chris Cortez. Midfielder Rodrigo Lopez was able to find Cortez on a through ball and slam it home for the visitors, salvaging a third straight draw, 1-1 against the Galaxy.
