Here are the player ratings for the Los Angeles Galaxy against the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday.

Carlo Cudicini 6

Gets a deduction for giving up a goal but otherwise had a quiet night, needing to make just two saves.

Todd Dunivant 7

Five interceptions, four clearances and four recoveries, according to the Opta Chalkboard. A good shift for Todd Dunivant, who returned from his own injury troubles. Was subbed later for Greg Cochrane.

A.J. DeLaGarza 7

Six interceptions, six recoveries, two clearances, and an 83 percent pass percentage on 42 touches.

Tommy Meyer 8

Eight interceptions, seven recoveries and four clearances. A good performance in the back for Tommy Meyer, making his first start this season for the Galaxy.

Omar Gonzalez 7.5

More of the same from Omar Gonzalez on Wednesday night against Philadelphia. Gonzalez had eight clearances and five recoveries while earning a 76 percent pass success rate on 34 touches.

Landon Donovan 9

Man of the match. Best game of the season for Donovan, with a goal and two assists, along with eight recoveries, three interceptions and a 70 percent pass success rate on 71 touches. Only minus was the corners, but that will improve with time. Get him with the rest of the mates, Jurgen.

Mike Magee 7

10 recoveries and an 89 percent pass success rate on 35 touches. Good passing and defending from Magee, but not a lot of offensive punch tonight.

Marcelo Sarvas 7.5

An 88 percent pass success rate on 48 touches, seven recoveries, three tackles won and three interception. Businesslike performance from Sarvas, who also added an assist on the Robbie Keane goal in the 71st minute.

Juninho 7

Five interceptions, two clearances, two recoveries and an 82 percent pass success rate on 50 touches.

Robbie Keane 8

More on him in the next piece…

Jose Villareal 6

Needs to work on his flick-ons. Only had three recoveries and also struggled with his passing, earning a 63 percent pass success rate.

Hector Jimenez 6

Gets a goal in garbage time to go with an 81 percent pass success rate on 16 touches.

Sean Franklin 6

Came off the bench for Tommy Meyer. Had two clearances, two recoveries and an 88 percent pass success rate on 16 touches.

Greg Cochrane NR

Came into the game late, no rating given.
