So what else is new? It was back to the same nasty habit of conceding goals late for Bruce Arena’s Los Angeles Galaxy against Caleb Porter’s Portland Timbers. Nothing too special, just a 2-1 defeat at JELD-WEN Field in Portland, Ore. that came with poor shot selections all match and terrible defending in the closing stages.
Sarcasm aside this is Los Angeles Galaxy football at its finest. Here are the player ratings for the Los Angeles Galaxy against the Portland Timbers.
Carlo Cudicini 1
For being Cudi, and also earning a yellow card for dissent. Next!
A.J. DeLaGarza 4
Seven clearances, seven recoveries, three tackles won and a 96 percent pass success rate on 26 touches. Best defender on the pitch by far, but earns a deduction for a yellow card.

Not a good game from Rogers: turned the ball one too many times and had six unsuccessful crosses. Did have five recoveries.

Earns a deduction for a yellow card but is the man of the match for LA after putting the Galaxy ahead early.

More in the next piece.
Gyasi Zardes 1
Admit it, Gyasi, you’re not ready to play at this level yet. Work on your shooting and your marking in the reserves, kid.
