Exciting news came a little over a year ago for two young players. These particular athletes, along with Mateo McClean, were named to the United States Youth National Team.
Eddie Chadwick and Max Steelman received another round of amazing news this week. Both youngsters were named to play in the MLS NEXT All-Star Game

Center forward Max Steelman, 16, joined the LA Galaxy Academy two years ago. The San Diego, California native is a member of the U16 team for the United States.
Midfielder Eddie Chadwick plays right-back for the LA Galaxy Academy. The 15-year-old also plays for the US on the same U16 team as Steelman.
Chadwick not only has represented the US, but he has also played for England's U16 team. Less than a year go, the teenager made appeared in big games Ukraine & France.
According to the team site of the Los Angeles Galaxy, "MLS NEXT [Launched in 2020], is the most elite platform for youth player development in North America. With a commitment to innovation and providing access and representation, MLS NEXT players receive the best training and coaching as they prepare for their futures, both in soccer and in life."
The 4th Annual MLS NEXT All-Star Game is presented by Allstate. It will be held on Monday, July 21 in Austin, Texas at Palmer Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. (Pacific Time).
The LA Galaxy's team site also shares "MLS NEXT and Allstate will provide the players with unique opportunities during MLS All-Star Week, which will include a full slate of programming events. The players will be fully immersed in MLS All-Star Week festivities, including team training, the All-Star Skills Challenge presented by AT&T on July 22, and the MLS All-Star Game on July 23."
