1. No goals in the first half
You can call this one with Braille: there will be no goals scored in another tense, close, parity-driven encounter.
2. The Galaxy will rack up the stats
Los Angeles will rack up the match statistics and deliver in a number of categories: attempts on goal, shots on target, shots off target, open play crosses, corner kicks, passing accuracy and possession.
3. No goals for Blas Perez
Blas Perez has been an unstoppable scoring force on numerous occasions for FC Dallas, but this time around, he will be just another face in the crowd. There will be no goals or assists for Perez.
4. FC Dallas will score first
That’s not going to stop the Hoops from opening up the scoring in the second half. Jackson has had three goals to his credit, and he will be on goal in the last 30 minutes of regulation to give Dallas the lead.
5. Another big night for Raul Fernandez
The Peruvian phenom was clutch in the prior meeting between these two teams. And on Sunday, Raul Fernandez will be money in the bag for FC Dallas, making more than five saves on the night.
6. Not a good night for Carlo Cudicini
It’s not going to be a good night for Carlo Cudicini in terms of saves, but this will only be because the back line of A.J. DeLaGarza, Gonzalez, Sean Franklin and Todd Dunivant were pulling their weight and being a clearance machine. Under four saves will be made by Cudicini on Sunday.
7. A penalty will be called
As with the match against Columbus and the previous match with FC Dallas, a penalty kick will be awarded.
8. Robbie Keane with a brace
There is but one man that can deliver from the spot, and that is Robbie Keane. The Republic of Ireland international will be money in the bank with a brace.
9. At least 25 fouls, under three yellows
This will be a fluid, fast game in Carson. At least 25 fouls will be whistled and under three yellow cards will be issued.
