Liga MX superstar linked to LA Galaxy despite recent signings
Reports suggest that LA Galaxy is eyeing a forward from Club América. Despite América's recent victory over Cruz Azul, there are concerns internally regarding the contractual status of some players.
This is mainly because names like Henry Martín and Brian Rodríguez have been touted as potential candidates to join LA Galaxy and fill the void left by Chicharito Hernández, who is now with Chivas.
According to journalist Víctor López (h/t El Futbolero), Brian Rodríguez, the Uruguayan forward, is keen on moving to Europe. Although he came close to securing a move previously, his desire is not to return to the MLS but rather to wait for an offer similar to the one from Fiorentina.

On the other hand, while Henry Martín intends to renew his contract, nothing has been finalized with América, making him an attractive option for LA Galaxy.
Henry Martín is highly regarded in the MLS, particularly by LA Galaxy, where the presence of Javier Hernández is now a thing of the past.
The club is reportedly interested in acquiring América's current forward. América intends to retain the player; however, as of now, no agreement has been reached between Martín and the management. The club has until June to secure the Mexican's future; otherwise, he could leave as a free agent.
It's important to note that these reports are still rumors, as LA Galaxy appears content with their recent offensive acquisitions, Gabriel Pec and Joseph Paintsil, who had a promising debut against Inter Miami. While the potential addition of players like Henry Martín or Brian Rodríguez could further bolster their attacking options, nothing has been confirmed, and the club may opt to stick with their current roster moving forward.
