Carlos Emiro Garcés is here to stay! After weeks of speculation and initially teasing his arrival as a loan deal, the LA Galaxy has decided to pull the trigger and permanently secure the services of the talented defender.

Just a few weeks ago, LA Galaxy excitedly announced the loan signing of Carlos Emiro Garcés from Liga BetPlay Dimayor I club Deportivo Pereira for the rest of the 2024 MLS season, with an option to make the move permanent.

Fast forward to today, and it seems that the folks at Galaxy HQ have opted to skip the trial period and make Garcés a full-fledged member of the squad.

According to journalist Pipe Sierra, LA Galaxy has swiftly shifted gears and decided to purchase Garcés outright, rather than going for the loan with an option.

The deal sees Pereira selling him for a cool $1.4 million, with the club also retaining 30% of any potential future sale profits. It's a win-win situation for all parties involved.

At just 22 years old, Carlos Emiro Garcés has already showcased his immense potential since bursting onto the scene at the tender age of 20 back in 2021.
