Of the 10 MLS teams to qualify for the 2025 Concafac Tournament, Real Salt Lake is ranked seventh, only above the Vancouver Whitecaps, Colorado Rapids and Sporting Kansas City.

It was the 2013 Concafac Quarterfinals when the Los Angeles Galaxy last played Herediano. A 4-1 victory moved the Galaxy past Herediano. Goals from Omar González (17'), Jose Villarreal (68'), 'Robbie Keane (82'), and Jack McBean (90') sealed the win.
