Three X Factors for the LA Galaxy in MLS Cup with Puig out
By Scott Conrad
3. Marky Delgado, Midfielder
Marco Reus has not been 100% healthy in every game out there for the LA Galaxy since his debut in July. During the six games he played in for the Galaxy, he scored once and logged a pair of assists.
He came up with another assist during the matchup against Minnesota. If he is held to limited action like he has been as of late, Marky Delgado will be tagged with a heavier workload.
Missing only two games out of the LA Galaxy's 34, the 29-year-old midfielder started in 29 of them. He did not get in on the scoring action as much as some of his other teammates (1 goal), Delgado did manage to be credited with seven assists on the year.
Delgado started off the regular season strong, too. In his first five games, he had one assist in four of those.
If the Los Angeles Galaxy are to help weather the storm of losing Puig and the uncertainty of Reus, Vanney and company may need Delgado to play out of this world and from another Galaxy.
