RED FLAG: The LA Galaxy are known to play down early (when they lose)

That's right! The Los Angeles Galaxy have had a number of games where they allowed a goal in the opening minutes of the first half. Playing down early can catch up to any team, regardless of their roster or history.

Including the game against LAFC back on July 4th, five of the LA Galaxy's losses have come when giving up the first goal or being down entering halftime. The only exception is the third matchup between the Galaxy and LAFC on September 14th when Joveljic responded with two second half goals to tie up the game at two apiece.

LAFC scored twice before the 16th minute of that game. However, the LA Galaxy showed resiliency and overcame adversity to take the win, 4-2.

The other four losses where the LA Galaxy gave up early goals came against Western Conference foes: FC Dallas, St. Louis City SC, Portland and in the regular season finale versus the Houston Dynamo.

Minnesota stands a chance to upset the favorite and hand the Los Angeles Galaxy their first loss at Dignity Health Sports Park in the 2024 season. If that's the case, Carson, California could be the site where their season ends earlier than hoped.
