This US born forward started his professional career in MLS with none other than the LA Galaxy. His first year with the team was also the franchise's first championship title.

He spent his next two years playing for the Colorado Rapids. In the span of 37 games, Gomez scored another six times.
The first of those six was special it was the first goal scored in the new arena, Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
Gomez would retire from MLS following the 2016 season as a member of the Seattle Sounders. He entered the league as a champion and left it in the same manner as his final team won their first MLS Cup ever by defeating Toronto FC.
