This Saturday, September 30, the LA Galaxy hosted the Portland Timbers at the Digital Health Sports Park for one more matchday of the MLS regular season. The Galacticos faced this match with the clear and fundamental objective of starting to add 3 points in each of their remaining games.
Just in the 5th minute, Santiago Moreno made it 0-1 in favor of the visiting team. However, the LA Galaxy would tie the game in the 11th minute, courtesy of a header from Zavaleta, assisted by Douglas Costa.
LA Galaxy's first goal (1-1):
On this occasion, Eriq Zavaleta accompanied Maya Yoshida in the defensive field of the LA Galaxy, taking advantage of the absence of Chris Mavinga. Considering especially the last games of the Los Angeles side, Mavinga had not exactly given the most optimal performance, accumulating at least one serious error per game. Well, Zavaleta made good use of his playing time.
It should be noted that this is Eriq Zavaleta's first goal with the LA Galaxy shirt. Great time to achieve it.
