With just a half dozen games remaining for the Los Angeles Galaxy during the regular season, the playoffs are clearly next for the five-time MLS Champions. How deep of a playoff run remains to be seen.

December 31st, 2024 marks the expiration date for a number of the current LA Galaxy members. A Majority of the bigger names like Joseph Paintsil, Riqui Puig, Gabriel Pec and new addition Marco Reus are signed through at least 2026 or longer.

Some others could easily be playing their last games for the LA Galaxy as it is likely that not all of their own soon-to-be free agents come back. Let's take a look.

Signed back in mid-January of 2022, the American born talent's contract is up at the end of this year. Of the pending free agents, Delgado makes the most a year at $800,000.

Previously, Delgado was a member of Chivas USA and Toronto FC before returning out West. If resigned, he would turn 30 during the first half of the next season. Delgado has shown he can still be a viable weapon for the LA Galaxy.

He has appeared in 27 games this season while starting all but one of them. Delgado has just one goal on 14 shots but had contributed six assists. That is as many as he had in the two years previously combined.

Delgado typically draws more fouls than he commits. His experience and leadership make him a reliable asset for the LA Galaxy. Resigning him for two more years, which is as many as Reus is under contract for, would benefit both parties. The only thing that would prevent this union from continuing is if monetary figures become an issue.
