These 3 LA Galaxy players need to step up

2. Dejan Joveljic
The Serbian forward scored a goal in each of his first five games this season. Before Wednesday night, Joveljic had just one in the previous five games. His seventh goal of the season helped even the score of the game in the second half against Minnesota United FC.
The four-year veteran has taken 25 shots in his 11 games played. He has started nine and appeared as a sub in two more contests. Joveljic also has just one assist on the season.
Now, with one more goal than he had last year for the Galaxy, he needs three more to tie his season-best of 10 goals in 2022. This was also the last time his team made the playoffs where he also netted a goal in his one postseason appearance.
The 24-year-old has been a major catalyst for a high-scoring offense. Though the Galaxy's scoring has gone rogue in multiple halves of play, Joveljic is just one of a few talented strikers capable of adding to the scoreboard.
