Just a few days ago, we wrote about who we consider to be the best player for LA Galaxy during the 2024 MLS season. We are specifically talking about Riqui Puig. However, today's article has a somewhat negative or concerning connotation because we are going to discuss a video and a photo circulating on the internet.

Riqui Puig was seen training with some sort of device on his left leg, specifically on his calf. This device is something physiotherapists use as a treatment for certain injuries that footballers may receive.

Additionally, Riqui Puig shared a photo where he placed a sick emoji, showing his left calf in the lateral fibula area, which appeared quite swollen. This is just a simple observation, as we are not medical professionals and cannot determine the exact issue.

This has evidently caused concern among Galaxy fans, as it is likely that Riqui Puig will need to rest and recover from the inflammation. It is important to note that Puig was constantly fouled during LA Galaxy's 3-2 victory against Portland Timbers. This has also angered the fans, with some believing that these types of fouls should be sanctioned more effectively to prevent such injuries in future matches.

The next matches for LA Galaxy are not until July 31, when they face San Jose Earthquakes in another edition of the Cali Clásico, but this time for the League's Cup. Subsequently, they play Chivas de Guadalajara on August 4, also for the group stage of the League's Cup, and then return to MLS action on August 24 at Dignity Health Sports Park against Atlanta United.

So, it is not until July 31 that Galaxy has an official commitment, and from the editorial team at The View from Avalon, we hope Riqui Puig will be in better shape by then.
