OFFICIAL: LA Galaxy Signs MLS Forward on Two-Year Deal

In a strategic move that aims to bolster their offensive prowess, the LA Galaxy proudly announced today the signing of forward Miguel Berry to a two-year contract, extending through the culmination of the 2025 MLS season.

Additionally, the club has included an option for the 2026 season in this promising deal. The acquisition comes on the heels of a transaction that saw the Galaxy obtain Berry's player rights from Atlanta United, sealing the deal with LA's natural second-round pick in the upcoming 2024 MLS SuperDraft on December 19, 2023.

At 26 years old, Berry brings a wealth of experience to the Galaxy's lineup, having amassed an impressive record of 11 goals and three assists in 75 regular-season matches played over four MLS seasons.

His journey in Major League Soccer has seen him don the colors of the Columbus Crew (2021-22), D.C. United (2022), and most recently, Atlanta United (2023). During the 2023 MLS Regular Season with Atlanta, Berry showcased his attacking prowess, contributing one goal and one assist in 27 appearances, with 10 of those being starts.

The Barcelona, Spain native burst onto the MLS scene during his rookie season with the Columbus Crew in 2021, where he notched an impressive eight goals and two assists in 18 matches played, with nine starts. Midway through the 2022 MLS Regular Season, Berry found himself traded to D.C. United from Columbus, making a solid impact with 14 appearances, including 8 starts, for the Black-and-Red.

Berry's journey to the MLS started with his selection as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew. This followed an outstanding collegiate career at the University of San Diego from 2016 to 2019, where he showcased his scoring prowess with 38 goals and 16 assists in 72 appearances, 69 of which were starts.
