4. Paulo Nagamura

The Brazilian midfielder came to MLS in 2005 after playing for both Sao Paulo and Arsenal. He made his Galaxy and MLS debut on April 2, playing the full 90 minutes in a 3–0 loss to the Columbus Crew.

Nagamura wrapped up his first regular season with 25 appearances, starting in all but one of them. He tallied two assists that season. The LA Galaxy finish 4th in the Western Conference and made the playoffs, as well.

He started in all four of the playoff games for the LA Galaxy including the 2005 MLS Finals. This would be the Galaxy's second ever championship title.

His second and last season was not as successful. The LA Galaxy failed to qualify for the postseason. During the 2006 MLS Expansion Draft, Nagamura was selected by Toronto FC for their debut season.

He would only appear in four games before being traded back to the West Coast where he played for Chivas USA. In 73 games he scored eight times. His final game as a player in MLS was with Sporting Kansas City in 2016.

Nagamura has traded his cleats in for the clipboard. He coached the Houston Dynamo for one season in 2022. He now is an assistant for the Chicago Fire.
