Prior to the match between the LA Galaxy and Portland Timbers this Saturday, September 30, Maya Yoshida spoke to the press and spoke about the game, and how the Galacticos can improve heading into the final stretch of the MLS regular season.
The veteran Japanese center-back spoke of the stress and frustration that comes with, despite everything, rescuing 1 point after going down on the scoreboard, claiming that they must do better to start adding 3 points.
For Yoshida, it's all about "communication, tactics, concentration, and reading the game." The LA Galaxy defender also believes that this is "very simple to improve", emphasizing that everything revolves around concentration.
Maya Yoshida's pre-match presser:
At the time we talked about the importance of Maya Yoshida in the team. And the words of a leader of his caliber must be taken into account. Regardless of the player's status, thinking that concentration is essential to succeed makes total sense.
If the LA Galaxy manages to maintain the good level they show once they are being subdued, throughout the match, there is no doubt that better results will come.
