Who are the next five behind Paintsil?

Vanney has a plethora of options to pick here to start alongside their star, Paintsil. LA Galaxy fans have yet to see Reus and Dejan Joveljic play at the same time. The Galaxy's leading scorer made his return last game after missing nearly two months of action.

Joveljic has a team high 12 goals and has five assists to boast, too. The only other member of the Galaxy with more than 10 goals is Gabriel Pec. Thus, here is the intriguing idea: Have Reus and Joveljic both come in off the bench.

This way, Vanney could start Pec and place Riqui Puig next to him like he did against Atlanta. The Spaniard midfielder has nine goals on the season as he leads the team in assists with 11. Pec also has the second-highest mark in this category with 10 assists of his own.

Now let's throw a curveball here. Instead of Diego Fagundez starting as he has 18 times this season, start Miguel Berry. Primarily a sub, Berry has started five times already this year. This gives the LA Galaxy a slightly younger presence on offense to begin the game.

He has managed to find the net twice this year and recorded an assist, too. In fact, that assist was on the most recent score by the Galaxy when Pec found the net at the 46th minute against St. Louis City SC.

The final two starters should Marky Delgado and Gaston Brugman. Delgado has only missed one game this season. With 26 starts and one game as a sub, he has registered six assists. He has added one goal to the Galaxy's offense, as well.

As for Brugman, he has played a little less than Delgado. The 32-year-old veteran out of Uruguay has played in 16 games for the Galaxy while starting in ten of those.

He has two assists on the year but has not scored yet. Brugman has taken more shots on goal than Delgado (four more) in a smaller sample size making him an aggressive option on the field.

Though it is different, a starting lineup of Paintsil, Pec, Puig, and Berry to go with the duo of Delgado and Brugman has its advantages and perks. Combined, that gives the LA Galaxy a collection of players responsible for 31 goals and 38 assists.
