LA Galaxy's midfield maestro, Riqui Puig, has shed light on his future plans and aspirations, expressing a desire to renew his contract with the club, leave a lasting legacy, and eventually return to Europe.

Puig, undoubtedly the linchpin of LA Galaxy's current squad, stands as the unequivocal leader of the project. The Spanish midfielder made the move to Los Angeles from FC Barcelona, where he struggled to showcase his full potential. In fact, Puig prefers not to dwell on his past with the Blaugrana.

During a conversation with the EFE Agency, Puig laid out his future intentions, stating, "We are in talks with the Galaxy for a contract extension, but personally and in terms of ambition, I would like to return to Europe. However, I must also say that I am feeling very comfortable here, thoroughly enjoying my football, which I hadn't done in a long time," said Puig.

"I feel incredibly valued; the coach instills great confidence in me, as do my teammates. I feel like a vital part of the club. Finding this sense of belonging elsewhere or seeking opportunities in Europe seems a bit distant right now. I want to stay here for a few years, if possible, make a significant impact with the Galaxy, and be remembered positively by the fans, as someone who left their mark," he added.

Hearing Puig say in his own words that he wants to stay at the Galaxy for a few more years is undoubtedly a relief for all Galaxy fans.
