Next up for the LA Galaxy is FC Dallas. This Texas-sized matchup pits one of the best in the Western Conference against one of the bottom teams.

There are 20 points that separate the two squads as the Galaxy enters the contests with 43 points and the host team has 23 points.

The last time these two soccer clubs squared off, the LA Galaxy won 3-1 earlier this season back on May 29th. Prior to that victory, their last one came in July 2021. FC Dallas has had the Galaxy's number as of late.

What's different this time?

For starters, the LA Galaxy are a much better team this year. They have scored 12 more times than FC Dallas and allowed seven less goals than their opponent.

FC Dallas's, Petar Musa, leading scorer has 11 on the season. Their next leading scorer only has four. The Los Angeles Galaxy simply have a more balanced attack.

Forward Dejan Joveljic is tied for fourth best in the league with 12 goals. His five assists ties him with several other players at 36th best in MLS. The Serbian's teammate, Gabriel Pec, has nine goals on the season. This ranks tied for 19th best in the league.

Pec's eight assists are tied for 13th best. He is second on the team only behind Ricard Puig. The midfielder from Spain is tied with seven other players for fourth best in assists.

Thus, the Los Angeles Galaxy has a balanced offense that does not rely too heavily on any one player or a pair of them. Their defense isn't terrible either.

In their 23 games this season, the LA Galaxy goalkeeper, John McCarthy, has six shutouts thus far. That's close to 25% of his games. In fact, his play in net has been so good as of late, the Galaxy have only given up three goals in their last five games.

Prediction: LA Galaxy 3, FC Dallas 1.
