The LA Galaxy secured a 3-1 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday night, propelling them to the top of the Western Conference and tying them with Miami and New York Red Bulls for the Supporters Shield.

Dejan Joveljic opened the scoring in the 57th minute, tapping in a rebound from Gabriel Pec's shot to notch his sixth goal of the season. However, the Galaxy's vulnerability in defending set-pieces was exposed once again when Brian White nodded in a header from a corner kick.

Joseph Paintsil came to the rescue for the Galaxy, breaking the deadlock in the 80th minute with a clinical finish past Vancouver goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka. He then turned provider, setting up Diego Fagundez for the team's third goal in the 82nd minute, making Fagundez the 10th player in MLS history to achieve 70 goals and 70 assists.

With two away wins already matching last season's tally, the 2024 LA Galaxy are showing promising signs on the road, accumulating 10 points from four games compared to the 12 points earned in the entire 2023 season. Here are three key fixtures to look out for following their victory:
