LA Galaxy's Kevin Leerdam called up by the Suriname national team

The LA Galaxy has just announced that Kelvin Leerdam has received a call-up to join the Suriname National Team during the upcoming international break.

Leerdam, who is 33 years old, has been selected to represent Suriname in their upcoming matches. They will first face Haiti at Flora Stadium in Paramaribo, Suriname, in a Concacaf Nations League fixture scheduled for Thursday, October 12 at 3:00 p.m. PT. Following that, Suriname will play against Grenada at Flora Stadium on Sunday, October 15 at 5:00 p.m. PT.

Leerdam has made a notable contribution to the Suriname National Team, with two assists in 16 appearances, of which 15 were starts. For LA Galaxy's 2023 season, he has already secured one goal and one assist in 19 regular-season matches, with 12 of those being starts.

In his overall career with the Galaxy, he has participated in 34 games, starting 19 of them, and has accumulated one goal and three assists.

Looking ahead, the LA Galaxy will have a home match against Real Salt Lake at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, October 14. The game is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV.
