There are only eight remaining games for the LA Galaxy during the regular season. With the postseason in site, their mission is not complete, yet. Their objective of earning their sixth-ever MLS title is within grasp.

Currently, the LA Galaxy sit atop the Western Conference with 49 points (14-7-5). LAFC and Real Salt Lake are a close second and third, respectively.

In order for head coach Greg Vanney to put his team in the best position possible to win MLS gold, this is what needs to happen for the Galaxy.

4. Get Dejan Joveljic back into the rotation and healthy.

The Serbian forward has missed a few games as of late. He has appeared in 21 of the LA Galaxy's 26 games. Joveljic has started 18 games and subbed three times.

On the season, he has 12 goals and five assists. Joveljic has already doubled his scoring and matched his assist total from last year, too.

In 2023, the fourth-year MLS veteran took 46 shots to get to six goals. Joveljic has been way more effecient of a scorer connecting on 12 of his 44 shots this season.

To open up the season, Joveljic scored one goal in the LA Galaxy's first five games. He only scored two goals the next eight games for the Galaxy. His strongest showing perhaps was his two-goal performance in the 3-1 victory over Dallas FC.

He only appeared in three of the five losses for the Galaxy (both of the ones to LAFC and the one to Chicago). The last time Joveljic has seen action during the MLS season was in the July 7th win against Minnesota United FC.

The Los Angeles Galaxy have found other ways to score as they have recorded 50 total on the season. Considering Joveljic accounts for almost 25% of those, his team needs him back to help make another deep playoff run.
