Why the name 'El Trafico Derby' for this rivalry?

Many Americans, especially Californians, are aware of the high volume of traffic and the congestion it causes commuters. It is one of the worst in our nation as Los Angeles is the second most populated city in the United States.

'El Trafico' is Spanish for 'the traffic.' Now, the word 'trafico' is a word play on 'El Clasico' which has been assessed to any matchup between two of the biggest soccer clubs overseas, Barcelona FC and Real Madrid.

Finally, the word 'derby' is self-explanatory as it simply means 'a match between two local clubs that are geographically close to each other.' Not everyone has accepted this as an official title for the rivalry.
