Perhaps the oldest player on this list, a 2006 inductee of the National Soccer Hall of Fame played for both the LA Galaxy and Sporting Kansas City.  In 1999, during Lalas's only year with the team, they were called the Kansas City Wizards.

Lalas broke into Major League Soccer in 1996 with the New England Revolution. After a pair of seasons there, he went to the then-MetroStars who are now the New York Red Bulls.

A season later, that is when Lalas played in Kansas City. During the three years Lalas would play for the Galaxy, he won his first and only MLS Championship during the 2002 when the squad defeated his original club, 1-0 in overtime.

The Birmingham, Michigan native scored at least one goal in each of his seasons while playing in MLS. Having played 169 games, he started all but six of them. With 14,663 career minutes recorded, Lalas has proven to be an elite defender, known for his endurance and tenacity on the field.

Following his retirement, Lalas did become the General Manager of three different teams: the San Jose Earthquakes, the New York Red Bulls and the Los Angeles Galaxy.
