Former LA Galaxy players trading cleats for clipboards

2. Robin Fraser
Just like Vanney, this former player got to coach for his former team. However, it was not for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Before becoming a member of the Colorado Rapids, Fraser played for the LA Galaxy from 1996-2000. He recorded only one score while in MLS and only appeared in one playoff game, too.
After 129 games with the LA Galaxy, Fraser changed scenery and became a member of the Colorado Rapids. In three seasons, he appeared in 73 games. His final stop as a professional soccer player was with the Columbus Crew for the final two years of his career.
Another common ground with Vanney is that Fraser also began his coaching career with Chivas USA. After a half-decade with Real Salt Lake, he came back to California and took over the reins.
A pair of stops out east (New York and Toronto), Fraser was introduced as the head coach of the Colorado Rapids on August 25, 2019. He would replace Conor Casey.
Even though his contract was extended through the 2025 season, Fraser was let go on September 5th, 2023, as the Rapids were in last place at the time.
