Former LA Galaxy defender dreams of reuniting with another ex-LA Galaxy player
Former LA Galaxy defender Julián Araujo has been turning heads in Spain since his move to Barcelona, generating much criticism at first due to his relatively unknown career in American soccer.
However, the Mexican defender, while on loan at Las Palmas, put in the work and became an integral part of the team, making his return to the Blaugrana squad next season seem more than imminent.
Ahead of his participation in the Concacaf Final Four, Julián Araujo revealed his deep-rooted connection to wearing the colors of the Mexican National Team, a squad he has always dreamed of representing. Although he may not achieve it yet, he has always longed to play for El Tri alongside Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez, as he did at LA Galaxy.

"Mexico has always been in my heart; my family is from Mexico. Since I was a child, I dreamed of playing for the national team. Playing with Chicharito was one of my dreams, and now it's incredible to be like a little brother to him. Mexico is everything to me; I used to sleep with the desire to wear the crest, to play at the Estadio Azteca, and the opportunity came. Now, my dream is to play in a World Cup with Mexico," he told Fox Sports.
