On Friday, the LA Galaxy of the MLS officially declared the extension of Eriq Zavaleta's professional services for the 2024 season. The Los Angeles-based club unveiled its roster updates on its website.
"After the conclusion of the 2023 campaign, LA Galaxy today announced the current status of their squad for the 2024 season. Players already under contract for the upcoming season include goalkeeper Jonathan Bond, defenders Julian Aude, Martin Caceres, Mauricio Cuevas, Raheem Edwards, Marcus Ferkranus, Chris Mavinga, Jalen Neal, Maya Yoshida, and Eriq Zavaleta. Midfielders Gaston Brugman, Edwin Cerrillo, Mark Delgado, Diego Fagundez, Jonathan Perez, and Riqui Puig, along with forward Dejan Joveljic," stated the sports entity.
Departures from the team comprise goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann, defenders Tony Alfaro, Calegari, and Kelvin Leerdam, midfielder Uri Rosell, and forward Billy Sharp.
Midfielders Douglas Costa and forward Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez are currently without contracts, leaving the Galaxy with two open Designated Player slots for the 2024 season.
Additionally, midfielder Adan Saldaña and forward Michael Barrios are also out of contract and will not be returning next season, as confirmed by the MLS team.
