1. The Galaxy defense and keeper are getting the job done

While many questioned an aging defense for the Los Angeles Galaxy and its ability to keep pace in MLS, they have. In the last three games, the Galaxy have only allowed two goals.

In their 16 games (7-7-2) thus far, the Los Angeles Galaxy have only allowed multiple goals in seven times. They also have four shutouts from outstanding play from John McCarthy. Two of those are against the Seattle Sounders.

Counting those four shutouts, the LA Galaxy have nine games in 2024 where they have held their opponents to one goal or less.

This year, the Galaxy have only been handed three red cards. Two have been earned by defenders, Eriq Zavaleta and Martin Caceres. The other was given to one of their midfielders, Delgado.

In continuing to play well-disciplined, scoring in bunches and controlling the possession battle, the Los Angeles Galaxy should be able to continue their winning ways. Their aspirations on the season include appearing in their tenth MLS Finals.
