3 things we learned in LA Galaxy's 3-1 victory over FC Dallas

Following their four draws in a row, the LA Galaxy earned their first win in over a month. Yet, as of Thursday morning, the squad finds themself in second place (28 points) in the Western Conference Table.
This game was very indicative of how good this team can really be. As we dissect this victory for the Galaxy, we both learned and confirmed factors that directly lead to success for five-time MLS Champions.

3. The stat sheet doesn't lie... A win is a win!!
In Wednesday night's contest against Dallas FC, the Los Angeles Galaxy not only won the time of possession battle, but they were productive with it as well. Of their 25 shot attempts, 11 of them were on target. Their opponent only had seven shot attempts with five being on target.
Greg Vanney had his team play a much cleaner game than their visitor. The Galaxy committed only nine fouls whereas Dallas FC had nearly double that (17). Furthermore, LA had only one yellow card and did not receive a red card. Their opponent received three yellow and a red.
The Los Angeles Galaxy also landed half a dozen corner kicks in the game. Dallas was only awarded a pair of corner kicks. In their last three games now, the Galaxy have been given a total of 19 corner kicks compared to their opponents only having a combined nine. Ten more corner kicks in that span sets an offense up nicely.
