Sunday offers the LA Galaxy to earn three more points in the MLS standings against a Western Conference opponent who is looking for just their second win this season. Despite the Earthquakes' stance in the standings, the Galaxy must not underestimate their guests.

Here are the three keys to victory for LA come Sunday.

1. Outstanding play from the keeper

In his eight games, John McCarthy has allowed only 11 goals and 33 saves on the season. The Galaxy are hoping he has a few more to add to that saves total on Sunday.

Their in-state adversary should not be overlooked. Strong play from their keeper will help the Galaxy play comfortably and control the tempo of the contest.

San Jose has only scored 10 times in their eight games. LA is facing one of the weaker offenses in the league in the Earthquakes.
