2. John Brooks
The name John Brooks needs no introduction to LA Galaxy fans, particularly those with eagle-eyes who have supported the USMNT over the last decade.
John Brooks, despite being born Belin, Germany, represented the USMNT between the years 2013–2021. During this eight year stint, he made 45 senior appearances for the States, scoring an impressive three goals from the defence.
In his senior playing career, Brooks has spent the majority of his time donning the German football ranks. However, he also spent a year in Portugal playing for Benfica, to no great success. Considering his USA citizenship, it is a surprise he has never played in the USA soccer scene. Well, it could certainly happen in 2024, should LA Galaxy deem it necessary.
The centre-back who stands at an impressive 6 ft 4 inches, is available on a free transfer from the end of his European season, meaning LA Galaxy could give him a route to the MLS.
