The Los Angeles Galaxy has a number of stars shining bright for them. Players like Dejan Joveljic and Riqui Puig came back to the team following a disappointing 2023 campaign.

Newcomers Joseph Paintsil and Gabriel Pec have been sharp for the Western Conference juggernaut. To make way for new blood, the LA Galaxy said goodbye to some of their previous talent.

Here's a look at three players who played forward last year for the five-time MLS Champions.

1. Tyler Boyd

Unlike this season, where the LA Galaxy had four players do so, not one scored ten goals or more for the team. The team high was seven goal and that was shared by two individuals.

One is with the team still and was recently snubbed on the MLS Most Valuable Player final list. Puig scored seven times in 2023 and so did former teammate, Tyler Boyd.

No longer with the Los Angeles Galaxy, the native of New Zealand is now playing for Nashville SC. Unfortunately for him, his numbers are down from a season ago.

In 2023, in addition to his seven goals, Boyd assisted on four other scores. This season, he only had two of each.

Soon to be 30 years old, the forward last played on July 17th against Orlando City SC. His new team finished with nine wins and nine draws, earning them just 36 points in the Eastern Conference. That placed them at the bottom of the standings as the third worst team in the league.
