The injury bug tends to be a contagious phenomenon in sports across the board. The Los Angeles Galaxy are not exactly immune to such an epidemic.

Marco Reus has been ailing from a hamstring injury that has kept him out of the line up. Fortunately for Head Coach Greg Vanney and his first place LA Galaxy, some of the other stars on the roster are getting over the injury and have made their way back to field.

Reus is not the only member of the LA Galaxy that has experienced a leg injury this season. The Galaxy forward from Serbia, Dejan Joveljic, was out for more than six weeks.

The leading scorer for the Los Angeles Galaxy has still managed to find the back of the net despite missing six games this year. In his 55 shot attempts, more than 27% of them have resulted in a score for the five-time MLS Champions.

Welcome back, Julian Aude.

For instance, Julian Aude missed significant time. After playing in all five of the LA Galaxy's games in the month of June, his appearance in the July 4th game against LAFC would be his last for two and a half months.

The Argentine native returned to action during the September 21st contest against the Vancouver Whitecaps. Aude has also played in both October games for the Galaxy.

The 21-year-old has not scored a goal since the first week of April. That game was also a 2-1 loss against rival LAFC. But the defender's presence in the lineup gives Vanney more options on defense.

Miki Yamane, Maya Yoshida, Martin Caceres and Eriq Zavaleta are all at least 30 years old. John Nelson is 26. That leaves just Aude, Jalen Neal, Maruicio Cuevas and Carlos Garces as the only defenders on the roster that are 22 years old or younger.

Caceres remains out still. He has not played the home victory over the Portland Timbers in mid-July. In the 15 games that Caceres has appeared in, the LA Galaxy have won ten times.

Vanney has the luxury of time of his squad until the regular season finale. On match #34, the Los Angeles Galaxy will face off against the Houston Dynamon.

Even if Reus and/or Caceres does not play, they will be able to rest another week as the Galaxy have secured at least a top two finish in the Western Conference. Their postseason would not start until the following Saturday at home.
