3. Unbeaten at Dignity Health Sports Park

The Los Angeles Galaxy managed to win just eight games in 2023. A season later, they finished the 2024 MLS Season without a single loss in Carson, California.

The 'El Trafico' game against LAFC on July 4 was held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. The Galaxy was listed as the home team and lost 2-1.

However, all other games played at home resulted in wins or draws for the Galaxy. The same went for the team in the postseason. They won Game 1 by a score of 5-0 against the Colorado Rapids at Dignity Health Sports Park.

The Galaxy also defeated Minnesota United FC and the Seattle Sounders FC when they played the role of the host in the Western Conference Semifinals and Conference Finals. Their 20th win in Carson gave the Los Angeles Galaxy another title as they defeated the New York Red Bulls, 2-1.

4. A record sixth MLS Cup and tenth Finals appearance

Despite the ten-year drought, the Los Angeles Galaxy are no stranger to the grandest stage in the league.

The Galaxy lost in the first ever MLS Cup Finals when DC United outscored them 3-2 during the 1996 season. Three years later, the two teams rematched but had the same result. DC United picked up their third title and the LA Galaxy became the runner ups for the second time.

In 2001, the Los Angeles Galaxy fell short once more. This time, the San Jose Earthquakes bested the Galaxy.

In their fifth MLS Cup appearance, they finally tasted victory in the season's final postseason game. The Los Angeles Galaxy won 1-0 against the New England Revolution in overtime. The same result happened when the two teams returned in 2005.

In 2009, Real Salt Lake defeated the LA Galaxy at Qwest Field. Their sixth MLS Finals appearance did not go their way.

However, this would be the last time (to date) the Galaxy would fall short in the title game. They would go on to win three times in a four-year span as they claimed the league's top prize in 2011, 2012 and 2014.

The LA Galaxy had not been back to the Finals since... until now. On December 7, the Western Conference juggernaut played in a record tenth MLS Cup.
