Rumors were circulating before regarding Gabriel Pec being shipped. He has been under the watchful eyes of European clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool.
As of this week, the Brazilian forward remains with the Los Angeles Galaxy. However, forward Aaron Bibout is now with another team. Bibout spent more time on the field for Ventura County FC than he did on the main roster for the Los Angeles Galaxy.
General manager Will Kuntz announced on Tuesday that the team has transferred Bibout's contract to Västerås SK. They are a second division Swedish soccer club.
Bibout leaves the LA Galaxy organization on a high note
According to the team's website, "Bibout totaled 35 goal contributions (26 goals, 9 assists) in 53 matches played (50 starts) across all competitions (MLS NEXT Pro, U.S. Open Cup)."
The 20-year-old Cameroon native has been a part of the LA Galaxy franchise since the 2023 season. He was a part of the 2024 MLS Cup roster last season for the team, as well.
"Since joining the Galaxy from the Kadji Sports Academy in Douala, Aaron has been one of the brightest players in our development pathway as evidenced by his more than 20 goals in MLS Next Pro. We are excited that Aaron will be continuing his journey with Västerås and wish him all the best at this next step in his career."Will Kuntz, GM of the Los Angeles Galaxy
Last week, Bibout had one of the best games of his career. He scored three goals against Laguna United FC during the first round of the 2025 US Open Cup.
On his way to the hat trick, Bibout took five shot attempts, as four of them were on target. He appeared in two games for the LA Galaxy during the 2023 season. In addition to the LA Galaxy and Ventura County FC, Bibout also played for Detroit City FC and FC Tulsa.
If Bibout is sold to another soccer club, the Los Angeles Galaxy will retain a sell-on percentage of the transfer fee for him. The amount of the fee in this initial trade has not been disclosed yet.
