Another MLS season is kicking off this weekend and along with any real sports season comes an equally important fantasy season.

Finding success in fantasy MLS Fantasy Soccer Manager can be difficult. Fantasy players need a strategy, short and long term players investments and more than a few things to go their way. It also takes a seasons-long investment of time that can borderline as a second job.

I am here to make things a bit easier for you by creating this easy to use guide for the 2016 season. Every week I will post a new article with the most up to date LA Galaxy fantasy news. Point totals will be tallied and weekly fantasy predictions will be the main focus of this article.

For Week 1  we will discuss who you should pick up for your fantasy team from the Galaxy.

GK – Kennedy, DO NOT BUY. The Galaxy defense is still working things out and with so many new additions I can’t see them getting it right in Week 1. DC United don’t have the best offense in the league so there is a small chance of a clean sheet but I just don’t see it this week.

DEF – Projected starters: Cole, Van Damme, DeLaGarza, Rogers, DO NOT BUY. I would steer clear of the Galaxy defenders this week for the same reasons as Kennedy. Until they can prove Rogers move to the right is going to work long-term, and until Cole makes his mark consistently, I don’t see the team shutting anyone out. MID & FWD – Projected Starters: Boateng, Gerrard, de Jong, Zardes, dos Santos, Keane. Zardes and Keane are almost always a safe bet in fantasy MLS and this week is no exception. I think Zardes will have a strong early part of the season to prove to his club he is worth every cent of his new contract. Keane can dominate games when he is on and could be needed here if the defense doesn’t hold. dos Santos still

Keane can dominate games when he is on and could be needed here if the defense doesn’t hold. dos Santos will more than likely play up top with Keane and could be left alone at times if Zardes and Keane are getting most of the attention of the United defense. This is his first full season with the team and he will need to contribute if the team wants to contend in 2016. Zardes, dos Santos and Keane are all BUY rated this week and will remain that way unless they show they can’t produce.
