Sporting Kansas City vs. Houston Dynamo: Player Ratings

Peter Vermes’s Sporting Kansas City were dominant in their 2-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo, taking the 2013 MLS Eastern Conference Final by the same scoreline. With the win, Sporting will host the 2013 MLS Cup Final on Dec. 7 at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan.

Best player on the pitch for Houston. Six recoveries, the third-minute goal from the Brad Davis’s delivery and a 77 percent pass success rate. Normally, due to a yellow, he would get a deduction, but as the long goalscorer for Houston, Boniek Garcia gets a free pass.

Cam Weaver 4.5

Get a bonus for his 14 headers. Also had five recovieres, a 25 percent flick on success rate, two key passes and a 75 percent pass success rate on 36 touches.

Servando Carrasco 2.5
Omar Cummings 2.5

Brought in for relief and to perhaps provide an offensive spark but were neutralized by Sporting’s back line and midfield.
